Kilkenny's Joey Holden rushes past Eoin Moore of Wexford during the Walsh Cup final

Kilkenny’s preparations for Saturday’s Leinster SHC opener against Dublin has suffered another blow with the news that Joey Holden has been added to their injury list.

The Irish Independent reports that a hamstring injury suffered in recent days means that Brian Cody will have to plan without the services of the former All-Star defender.

The Ballyhale Shamrocks clubman joins Eoin Murphy, Conor Delaney, Cillian Buckley and James Maher on the treatment table while question marks hang over the fitness of former ‘Hurler of the Year’ Richie Hogan.
