Kilkenny are one of the first counties to reveal their fixture planner for the year.

Much has been made of club fixtures all over the country and there has been plenty of discussion in Kilkenny over the format.

This year, the Cats have decided to add in an extra round of league/championship games in May, which will be played midweek.

Like 2018, the opening round of the senior, intermediate and junior hurling leagues will be played on the weekend of April 7th.

The second round will be played on the weekend of April 21st before the May date which will be the 21st and 22nd.

Then there will be a break of over three months to the fourth round which is due to be played on September 1st and 8th.
