Wins for Kilkenny, Offaly, Wexford and Dublin in the Leinster minor hurling championship

Kilkenny will face Offaly and Wexford will meet Dublin in the Leinster MHC semi-finals following one-sided quarter-finals this afternoon.

At TEG Cusack Park, Kilkenny recovered from falling 0-2 to 1-1 in arrears after four minutes to hammer Westmeath by 5-28 to 1-5. With Conor Kelly in fine scoring form, Richie Mulrooney's charges took a 0-11 to 1-3 lead into the break before cutting loose in the second half with goals from Jack Buggy (two), Eoin Guilfoyle, George Murphy and substitute Cathal O'Leary.

Down the road in Bord na Mona O'Connor Park, Cillian Sampson bagged a brace of second half goals as Offaly trumped Laois by 2-19 to 1-14. Eunan Martin's men played some of their best hurling against the wind in the second half after leading by 0-13 to 1-5 at the interval.

In Newbridge, AJ Redmond was Wexford's star man as they eased to a 2-21 to 0-12 victory over Kildare. Redmond's goal on the stroke of half-time helped the visitors to a 1-13 to 0-5 lead and they were never in any danger after that.

Goals from Dara Purcell and Luke Swan were all that separated Dublin and Antrim at half-time (2-3 to 0-3) in their quarter-final clash at Dowdallshill, but the Dubs stepped on the gas in the second half to run out 3-16 to 0-4 winners.
