Another win for Leixlip.Castledermot put it up to them in first half having gone 1-2 to 0-0 in the first 5 mins.Tone was again the class act but ably supported by the whole team.Dont know what he kicked but when the championship starts he will give any defender a tough time.Think Confey are next which will be a hotly contested ,very local affair.

Leixlip are by no means a one man team. Yes Tone is an exceptional talent but they have strong players throughout the team. The centre forward and the number 9 who scored two goals were also very impressive today. Looking forward to seeing how the league finishes now.

Fair play to Naas as they gave the Celbridge lads a lesson in support play and accurate finishing. Celbridge cannot moan about Brophy and Keegan being absent as Naas were also missing quite a few regulars. Two fine goals by raiding Naas half backs were the highlight of the game, but Under sixteen player Niall Kenny's 2-01 for Celbridge when introduced before half time must put down a marker with the team management

yes celbridge and leixlip looking very strong for divisions 1 and 2 this year, i saw the second half of the leixlip v castledermot game and is tone the free taker? he had a good game but leixlip dominated the midfield, numbers 8 and 9 were very good, number 9 getting 2 goals and a couple of points, anybody know their names? good players.

Leixlip very much a work in progress as they have an eye on the top flight and c'ship next year.Considering they couldnt fieldminor and u16 teams last year its fair play to the selecttors more than anything.Mjority of team eligible next year too.

Maynooth 2-14 Kilcock 1-4. Kilcock looked well off the side that they were two years ago. They rely too much on Duke & O'Rourke.. Maynooth look to have a lot of quality. Definite dark horses.

I think it is fair to say all the big clubs rely too much on their big names as has been shown by recent results including our own against Naas ,suppose the more all rounded teams will have advantage if the stars don't shine

Never a truer word that's why i think teams like towers with no county players can benefit

I agree too.The U17 squad has no players from leixlip on it despite the fact that most of their srtarting 15 are u17.No distractions or notions withing the squad.I am sure its the same for others who are benefitting from not having lads selected.Begs the question though, are the selectors too one dimentional in looking at the heavy hitters.
