Corcoran, Jack

October 26, 2006
The late Jack Corcoran The community was deeply shocked on Sunday, 15 October 2006, to hear of the sudden death at his residence of Jack Corcoran late of Thoran Road, Ballitore. Jack was a prominent footballer for St Laurence's GFC in the sixties and seventies and as a mark of respect, the Junior C Championships which was due to be played in Newbridge on the day was postponed. Two of Jack's sons Colm and Richie are members of the team. Jack was a very popular member of the community as was evident by the huge turnout at his reception into the Church and his funeral Mass and burial. Jack's remains were received into the Church of SS Mary & Laurence, Crookstown and his requiem mass was followed by burial in adjoining cemetery. Fr Joe Dolan CC officiated at the reception, mass and graveside. We wish to extend our deepest sympathy to Jack's wife Sheila, daughter Fiona, sons John Paul Richie and Stephen, brother Brendan, sisters, Rita, Nuala and Phil, daughters-in-law, future son-in-law, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and a very large circle of friends. May he rest in peace. Courtesy of The Leinster Leader 26 October 2006
