It was football all the way today and we had no fewer than six games to cover this afternoon.

All four provinces saw some action today as the respective SFC championships reached the quarterfinal and semi-final stages.

In Ulster and Leinster, we had the last of the quarterfinals down for decision with one game up north and double that on the east coast.

The penultimate stages of the Munster SFC saw the two semi-finals take place this afternoon.

Meanwhile, in Connacht the first of the semi-finals was battled out as the All-Ireland senior football championship gathered pace.
