Wicklow have appointed Davy Burke as their new senior football manager on a three-year term.
The Confey clubman, who steered Kildare All-Ireland U20FC glory last year, was ratified as John Evans' successor at tonight’s county board meeting.
Burke is currently in charge of Newbridge outfit Sarsfields and was linked with the Kildare vacancy before Jack O’Connor took over the Lilywhites, succeeding Cian O’Neill in the post.
At 31, Burke is now officially the youngest inter-county manager in the country.
