Kildare GAA have set up a committee to find a new senior hurling manager.

The Lilywhites are seeking a new manager after Joe Quaid stepped down from the role to take up the vacant Westmeath job.

As Christy Ring Cup champions, Kildare will be eager to kick on this year as they ply their trade in the Joe McDonagh Cup.

At last week’s county board meeting, chairman Ger Donnelly told delegates that the committee had been informed and it included himself, vice-chairman Mike Gorman, treasurer Alan Dunney and hurling development officer Colm Nolan.

The committee have already met and are expected to update delegates at the October meeting of the county board.
