Kildare supporters will be waiting anxiously on news over the full extent of Neil Flynn's knee injury.

The talented forward looked in considerable pain when forced off when playing for his club Maynooth against Two Mile House last weekend.

Flynn is expected to have a scan on the knee this week and it remains to be seen if he will be fit enough for the Leinster SFC opener against Carlow or Louth on Sunday May 20th.

In recent times, Flynn has had a tough time with injuries as he suffered a hamstring injury in the first minute of the NFL Division One clash against Dublin at Croke Park.

Having just returned to action, it was hoped that Flynn would be ready for the provincial opener, but now he must wait and see what the full extent of the injury is.
