Belated happy birthday to Kerry legend Mick O'Connell who turned 82 yesterday.
The Valentia Island native is widely regarded as one of the greatest Gaelic footballers of all time. His high-fielding was the stuff of legend.
During an inter-county career that spanned from 1956 to '74, 'Micko' played in 10 All-Ireland SFC finals, winning four of them. He also won 12 Munster SFC medals and four National League medals. O'Connell played his last game for Valentia as recently as 1995.
