Committed family man had a love of the GAA
The late Michael Dunworth Snr.
1920-2011

Michael Dunworth, Castle Grove, Clondalkin, Dublin and formerly of Gortcurreen, Listowel, passed away suddenly but peacefully at his home on Christmas day December 25, 2010. Aged 90, Mick, as he was called by everybody, was president of the Round Towers GAA Club, Dublin, for the last six years.
Originally from Gortcurreen, Listowel, Mick, was one of a large family born to parents Michael Dunworth and Ellen Moriarty.

He was involved with the Round Towers Club since he moved to Clondalkin in the mid 60's. Mick held various positions in the club, where he was regarded as a likeable, honest and trustworthy member.
Mick lived life to the full and was an example to his family and the GAA fraternity. How would do anything for the club and was always first to offer his help, he never refused a request.

His presence in the Round Towers Club will be sorely missed as he was part of the fabric and furniture of that great club. The club wont be the same without him, but he definitely left some great memories to all members.
A very committed family man, a loving husband and father, he was very proud of their individual talents and achievements.

Mick was waked at home on Wednesday, December 29 with requiem mass celebrated on Thursday morning, at 11.15 am in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Clondalkin. Cremation followed a Newlands Cross Crematorium.
Mick is sadly missed by his loving wife Betty, daughter Siobhan, sons Michael, Rory, Paul and Maurice, Grandchildren, sisters Noreen, Breda, Muriel, Patricia and Kay, daughter-in-law Sandra, son-in-law Sean, nieces, nephews, neighbours and many friends, especially those from the Round Towers GAA.
In honour of Mick and the 40-odd years he dedicated to Round Towers GAA, the juvenile team wearing the club jersey formed a guard of honour at the funeral.
