The home club of Mullinalaghta stalwart Dan McElligott has paid tribute to him in a heartwarming video ahead of the Longford minnows' All-Ireland club SFC semi-final against Dr Crokes tomorrow.
Ballymacelligott, who Dan played for before moving to the midlands, have managed to dig out footage of a challenge match between their U10s and Mullinalaghta's from 21 years ago. The Mullinalaghta team was coached by Dan and featured current current senior players Patrick Rogers, Gary Rogers, Conan Brady, Francis Mulligan, Donal McElligott, James McGivney and John Keegan.
Tomorrow will be another proud day for the Longford minor football boss who has five sons on the St Columba's team - Aidan, Ruairi, Cian, Conor and Donal.
