Ratoath defeated Trim to win the Division 1 Feile title

Connacht GAA in conjunction with Westmeath and Longford is hosting the Feile na nGael festival of hurling and camogie this weekend.

Close on 6,000 U14 hurlers and camogie players are lining out in the annual competition at numerous hurling venues across Connacht and the midlands. They are supported by over 1,000 mentors and thousands of supporters.

The six-pitch Connacht Centre of Excellence in Bekan near Ballyhaunis will host the various finals on Sunday, while there will be semi-final action at Pairc Sean MacDiarmada in Carrick-on-Shannon, Duggan Park in Ballinasloe, TEG Cusack Park in Mullingar and Pairc Chiarain in Athlone.

This year's event, which got underway yesterday, will see a team from San Francisco taking part for the first time.
