As expected, Kerry and Galway advanced in their respective provincial championships yesterday but Fermanagh ripped up the form guide in Omagh. Here is our football team of the week…
1. Patrick Cadden (Fermanagh)
Fermanagh snatched victory from the jaws of defeat and Cadden & Co are now looking forward to the county's first appearance the Ulster SFC final since 2008.
2. Kane Connor (Fermanagh)
Connor and the Ernesiders limited Monaghan to just five points from play during the course of the Healy Park semi-final.
3. Che Cullen (Fermanagh)
Detailed to man mark Conor McManus, Cullen did his job to the letter of the law.
4. Sean Andy O Ceallaigh (Galway)
O Ceallaigh and his Galway team-mates now switch their focus to a Connacht final showdown with Roscommon.
5. Jamie Malone (Clare)
Clare's only bit of resistance in Fitzgerald Stadium came from Malone who raided forward to kick two points.
6. Paul Murphy (Kerry)
Murphy and the Kingdom issued a statement of intent with a 22-point drubbing of the Banner County.
7. Sean Kelly (Galway)
The half-back made the scoresheet with 1-2 as Kevin Walsh's side made light work of Sligo in Pearse Stadium.
8. Ryan Jones (Fermanagh)
Delivered the ball that team captain Eoin Donnelly punched to the back of the Monaghan net in stoppage time.
9. Jack Barry (Kerry)
Along with David Moran, the Na Gaeil clubman bossed the midfield exchanges in Killarney.
10. Shane Walsh (Galway)
The classy Walsh caused plenty of problems for the Sligo defence and contributed 0-5 (four from play) to his side's impressive tally of 4-24.
11. Sean O'Shea (Kerry)
The responsibility of taking frees rests easily on O'Shea's young shoulders and he finished with 0-7 (4 frees and 1 45) to his name.
12. Declan McCusker (Fermanagh)
Like all of his team-mates, McCusker worked his socks off against the Farney County.
13. Damien Comer (Galway)
The Tribesmen's captain was at his best in the 19-point demolition of the Yeats County and finished as his team's top scorer with 2-2.
14. Paul Geaney (Kerry)
The Clare defence couldn't cope with Geaney's movement and guile and the All-Star sent over seven points from play.
15. Kyle Cawley (Sligo)
It was a day to forget for Sligo football supporters but Cawley can't be faulted for effort as he hit 1-2 against Galway.
