Munster final venue irks O'Sullivan

Former Kerry star and Dromid Pearses manager Declan O'Sullivan is unhappy with the venue for Sunday's Munster club JFC final.

The final has been fixed for Mallow which O'Sullivan claims is effectively a home game for the south Kerry club's opponents Knocknagree, who have played there twice already in this year's provincial campaign. Whereas Knocknagree is a mere 30-minute drive from the north Cork venue, it's a two-hour drive from Dromid.

"I was surprised by (the choice of venue)," O'Sullivan said in an interview with Radio Kerry.

"I would have that shouldn't really be happening. It is a big advantage to them. It is a home game for them, basically."

The Munster club JFC final will be played as part of a double-header with the Munster club JHC final between Ardmore and Ballybacon-Grange.
