Munster neighbours Cork and Waterford contested the second of this year's All-Ireland SHC semi-finals at Croke Park.

The Rebels prevailed when these two collided in a provincial semi-final on June 18th and Kieran Kingston's men went on to claim the Munster title, while Na Deise recorded scenic-route victories over Offaly, Kilkenny and Wexford to reach the last four.

With Galway awaiting the winners in the All-Ireland final on September 3rd, today's rematch promised to be extra special - the penultimate match in what has been a truly sensational season of hurling!

Cork were also involved in the curtain-raiser, locking horns with Dublin for the right to take on Galway in the 2017 All-Ireland minor hurling championship final.
