Following a seven-week break, the Limerick senior hurling championship resumes this weekend.

Three rounds of the campaign have been played before the break and this weekend's fixtures should determine who is battling for a place in the knockout stages and who is fighting relegation.

Kilmallock and Na Pairsaigh are unbeaten in their respective groups and they can ensure a place in the semi-finals with wins against Ahane and Adare respectively at the weekend.

Patrickswell are second in Group 2 and they will be in a strong position to progress if they beat Monaleen on Sunday.

Other games of interest see Doon take on South Liberties; Ballybrown v. Bruff who are pointless after three games and Cappamore v. Knockainey in a real relegation battle.
