Páirc to reopen with Cork SHC tie next Sunday

July 10, 2017

Stephen McDonnell's Glen Rovers will take on CIT in the opening game at the redeveloped Páirc Uí Chaoimh.

The Cork SHC third round clash between Glen Rovers and CIT will be the first game to be played at the redeveloped Páirc Uí Chaoimh.

The low-key reopening will afford officials the opportunity to iron out any teething problem that may arise ahead of two potential All-Ireland SHC quarter-finals at the venue on the weekend after next. Health and safety officers are currently assessing the new stadium before making a decision on whether it can host the Waterford v Wexford and Tipperary v Clare hurling ties.
