Galway manager Anthony Cunningham will resist the temptation to hand Joe Canning a jersey for Sunday's Division 1A clash against Kilkenny in Pearse Stadium.

Canning is still recuperating from a broken finger he sustained in the Walsh Cup and The Irish Times is reporting that he is more likely to be held in reserve until the penultimate game against Cork on Sunday week.

Better news for Galway supporters is that Fergal Moore has been passed fit after overcoming a hamstring injury and should feature against the Cats.
