Kilmallock manager Ger 'Sparrow' O'Loughlin is adamant that they will have to be at their best if they are to win the Munster club title.

The Clare All-Ireland winner will meet his own county champions Cratloe in what is an eagerly awaited contest.

Cratloe have had a phenomenal year in both codes and 'Sparrow' knows that his charges will have to play better than they have done all year to win.

Speaking to the Limerick Leader he said: "When you go into Munster, you expect nothing less than to meet teams who are there on merit - the bar is raised each time.

"The Limerick campaign definitely stood to us - those games were so tough and you can be caught but we got through with hard work and planning - but I guess you make your own luck along the way as well."

He added: "No doubt there will be a big Clare contingent to push on Cratloe and hopefully it will be the same that a big Limerick crowd come in to shout for Kilmallock - it's going to be a ding dong affair and should be a cracking game."
