Ballyhale Shamrocks experienced little difficulty in booking their semi-final ticket at the expense of Danesfort in James Stephens Park this evening.
It was all one-way traffic for the 60 minutes as Brian Cody (2), Eoin Reid and Colin Fennelly found the back of the Danesfort net in the first half.
Despite the presence of recently crowned Hurler of the Year Richie Hogan in the Danesfort colours, the game was effectively over as a contest at the halfway stage with Ballyhale 4-15 to 0-6 to the good.
Colin Fennelly heaped further misery on Danesfort with a fifth goal while David Forristal and Paul Murphy raised consolation green flags for the losers.
