Carrickshock 1-13
Rower Inistioge 0-15

(after extra-time)

Extra-time was required to separate Carrickshock and Rower Inistioge in today's Kilkenny SHC quarter-final replay.

Michael Rohan pounced for the game's only goal in the 24th minute and helped establish a 1-4 to 0-5 interval lead for last year's defeated finalists Carrickshock.

And they looked as though they would hold out for the win in normal time only to be denied at the death as Pat Lyng sent over an equaliser for Rower Inistioge.

The sides finished level - 1-9 to 0-12 - at the end of the regulation 60 minutes and the first period of extra-time also failed to separate them as it finished 1-11 to 0-14.

Two points in the second period of extra-time saw Carrickshock fall over the line with their noses in front.
