Wexford manager JJ Doyle admits to knowing little about Saturday's All-Ireland under-21 hurling semi final opponents Galway.

As always the case, Galway are an unknown quantity at this level as the semi final is their first outing of the year, compared to Wexford who have come through the Leinster campaign to get this far.

Speaking to the Wexford People, Doyle states that they have been busy looking after their own preparations and haven't thought much about their opponents.

"We know little or nothing about Galway as this will be their first competitive game. No doubt they will be backboned by the All-Ireland winning minor team of three years back," said Doyle.

"We will be focusing on our own team. This is a different team to last year as half of that team is gone. There will be no excuses as we are as ready as we are ever going to be."
