Tipperary manager Michael Ryan believes it is a matter of taking it step by step in the qualifiers.

Ryan believes that his charges are building momentum with each game as they now prepare for a clash against Clare on Saturday week.

Wins over Westmeath and Dublin have seen Tipp improve with each game and Ryan told the Tipperary Star that a step up is needed for the next game.

"Our aim is to build momentum step by step," said Ryan. He added: "We have told the squad that it will take 20 players to win most games, so they know the score.

"Action is obviously speaking louder than words and no one is exempt."
