Defending Galway, Connacht and All-Ireland club champions Corofin marched ominously into the county SFC quarterfinals where they will face neighbours Caherlistrane.

Four wins out of four in the group stages saw Corofin ease through to the knockout stages, while their quarterfinal opponents recorded two wins, a draw and a defeat to claim a second placed finish in their group.

Seeking a coveted six-in-a-row, Corofin are raging hot favourites to defend their title. However, they have a bit of work to do yet.

Mountbellew-Moylough go into their last eight clash against Moycullen with a 100% record also, while Milltown also came through the group stages on the back of four wins and they will take on Salthill/Knocknacarra.

The last quarterfinal sees Annaghadown take on a St James side that gave a good account of themselves against Corofin in their last outing. The quarterfinals will take place on the weekend of October 6th/7th.
