anyone at the Offaly V Louth game on Sunday 26th feb in Tullamore?...listened to it on radio 3...looks like we needed a goal most of 2nd half but didnt ever threaten to get it...are we that bad?..are Louth that good to be fair to them...I have highligted our poor scoring returns elsewhere....all very well saying Niall McNamee has to come back, but surely to God their is some young player coming through that can take some of the pressure off Niall and add abit more scoring threat upfront....Laois beaten by Tipp...Leinsters outside Dublin is limbering along..to where I dread to to think....

I was going to go but I thought better of it. I think you may have a better chance of finding one of the 500 or so that would have went to that match on facebook, Offaly page on HS etc.

Seems to be all about Offaly in Div 3 there.

it amazes me how Offaly arent being discussed much on main form?..Cavan, Longford, Roscommon etc....are they way better/more important than Offaly so they get the main forum??...

Nigel Dunne is a top forward too

top forwards chip in every second game or so 2-0 ot 1-03 from play and 5 or 6 or more other points from frees...Shane Dooley is supposedly our top hurler and every week its S.Dooley (0-10, frees)....I know Dunne and Allen are excellent forwards but have they a nose for goals etc....0-09 and 0-06 of them from frees against 3rd division teams...

saw him against clare last year caused havoc before picking up a serious head injury had about 4 points on the board from play , i understand he is just out of u21 level so plenty of time for him yet , looks a decent prospect

Feel for Offaly fans today that made the trip to Armagh.

A traditional county, getting beaten by 30 points in a football game is tragic.

Genuinely.

Feel so sorry for them.

I've seen both Armagh & Offaly play recently but that's a real thumping.

Thanks Waynol. That unfortunately is where Offaly are at the moment, a bad day all round.

Hard luck to Offaly. I guess Offaly and Cork fans can comfort each other. It is not that long ago when we were playing each other in All Ireland senior semi-finals in hurling and our footballers were also winning Division 1 national leagues and winning provincial titles. Now it is dismal misery. Results do not lie.

The hurlers seemed to have put in a decent performance last night against Limerick.

They were playing against 14 men for a large part of the match.

Unlike Offaly to have a numerical advantage!

Unfortunately the hammering I predicted in other posts here happened against Armagh yesterday...30 points..I dont ever remember any Offaly football team getting such a hiding..jaysus we thought things were bad in the bad old days of Division 3 North etc. but we went toe to toe with the likes of Sligo, Leitrim, Antrim etc..Sligo and Laois to come?..I think the Armagh game was comming somewhere along the way...only 0-10 again yesterday..still not one goal scored in this league which is a sign we are not very threatening up front...we might sneak Sligo..and its only a might...Laois appear to be better than us...and Ime sure Laois people will say thats not saying much..people will say we had a bad start yesteday conceding 1-04 early on..fair enough if you go on and loose by the 1-04 or even 9/10 points..but to collapse entirely and loose by 30 is very very worrying...

No, getting soft! Fair play to the supporters who made the journey. I thought Offaly would lose, but not by 30 points.
We have to beat Tipperary in our next home game, and hope to get points from the games vSligo and Laois.

Offaly were out of their dept and Armagh aren't great...... in this day in age for a senior county team to arrive in a few cars for a match is unbelieveable!!!
