Tipperary beat the second best team in Ireland with only 6 starters from last years final they also hammered Dublin who hammered Cork who hammered Clare who hammered Kilkenny , folks wether we like to admit it or not but the 2017 championship is already won no one will come close to this Tipperary team this year.

yea league form counts for so much in August and September. How did Dublin hurlers get on in the championship those years they had a good league run?

Tipp's history says something completely different. They destroyed Waterford in Munster final in 2011 and were flat after that for about 5 years! People forget that Galway should have beaten Tipp in August last year and KK led them after 40 mins. It's going to be the most open hurling Championship since 2001

????

Craziest post of the year. Basing anything on February form is down right lunacy.

Second best team?
How? Waterford didn't make the final.
Lost to Tipperary in Munster by 21 points.
Couldn't beat Kilkenny who lost to Tipperary by 9 points.
As for the rest of the original complete twaddle.

Come back to me in September when I'm right. No one will touch Tipp this year.

Come back to you in September when you are right? It's hardly an amazing prediction now is it? You predict the favourites and holders won't be stopped, wow. But just so you know, it is early days and while they are favourites, I still wouldn't be surprised if Kilkenny or Clare beat them later on in the year if they get their act together.

I fear you could be right. They will feel they can beat KK and they won't fear tipp one bit.
Having said that, they definitely aren't our bogey team!
They beat us once in 11-12 years in the cship. If we have a bogey team in the next 10 years who beats us once, then we will have a lot of All Ireland's won!

Galway beat us by a point in 15, we beat them by a point in 16. This is going to be Galways year I think.

I honestly do think Galway are our closest challengers especially in Croke Park we don't play well against them. League fair enough we beat them more than they beat us lately but they often upset us with not such great teams 93,00,05 should have beaten us in 2010 and beat us in 2015. Thinking back 2014 they had us almost finished but 1 switch by O,Shea led to Galway collapsing. Again last year they had us in the semi but we got over the line!!
I know people will say I'm mad but I genuinely expect Galway to be at least in the final I think they will win Leinster and that could put Tipp and Kilkenny on same side of draw pending Tipp win Munster.

100% agree with you. Galway are a serious team, i do think they will win the all Ireland this year. They will have learn a lot from the last two years, very unlucky both years. They have a very settled side aswell and kind of reminds me of Tipp in 09. Just about to make the break through and a fine price in Mr Powers also.

If Galway can tighten up at the back and find maybe another forward they will be seriously close. Plus coming in under the radar from 1B the league quarter final will tell a lot for them.
No one would begrudge Joe Canning an all Ireland I'm sure.

Galway didn't get any luck against us last year, especially losing Tuohy and Canning before half time. Both were playing well before they went off injured.

Cunningham shouldn't have played Canning through the league in 2015 with his hand injury. He should have let him make a full recovery. I felt he was off form all that year because of it and that could have been the difference against Kilkenny in the final.

Because they should have beaten us doesn't mean they're our bogey team, in fact it's the opposite. I agree they are major challengers but they are certainly not a bogey team by any stretch of the imagination and particularly in the cship

Tipp lads stop with the wind up. Galway in the last few years have failed to win the big games . Losing To Cork in last years relegation play-off, to Tipp in All Ireland semi and to Kilkenny in the 2015 All Ireland final. Look at last Sunday v Wexford, 7 points up and still lost. Galway aren't there mentally when push comes to shove. .

Reminds me of Tipperary teams from 1992 to 2007!!
I honestly believe though Galway and indeed Kilkenny will be our closest challengers come championship time.
My uncle from Limerick still believes only a puck of a ball in it between the top ten hurling teams!!

Galway are nailed on for the All-Ireland this year.

For whatever reason Galway match up well against this Tipp side. There has been absolutely nothing between the teams the last two years. That said I would not back Galway to win the All-Ireland with stolen money and I'm from Galway.

For the record neither side is a bogey team for the other. I think the record in championship meetings between the two since the late 80's when they started meting regularly was 50/50. I think Tipp may have moved one win ahead again after last year's semi final.
