Derry football is getting worse and worse by the day goes on , with sleachtneil in the all Ireland final there main players are out . I could name three players that are proud of their county and are privileged to represent there county and try there hardest for their county that do not play for sleachtneil and those individuals are James Keilt , Enda Lynn and Mark Lynch . Damien Barton was expected to do something for Derry but he has done nothing for the county . He is all talk on the press and in front of a camera but doesn't deliver , the team is unrecognizable and slacking big time , the issue in Derry is that you play because if your da is or how much money you have while there is very talented players across the county that would love to even be on the bench for Derry never mind start . Barton needs to be forced to leave and get a outsider in to manage us or have the only derry man that is capable of the job and that is Mickey Moron . Derry should not be waiting for the sleachtneil boys to be back . So get a outsider or moron , that's the only option unfortunately. An outsider would be picking talent in the county and wouldn't know the players probably and would get us back on track . While Moron would know the players to get and wouldn't pick any players for a certain reason or because of who they are and last thing he is a very very intelligent and brilliant manager and would bring real pride to the players and the county .

I think Derry have tried and tested Mickey Moran to death at this stage. It doesn't seem to matter who is in charge of Derry, there will always be players who don't like the appointment and they never seem to achieve the high standards expected of them.

That's very hard on Barton. Are the players playing for him or have they 'downed tools'?
I doubt if Mickey Moron, with the health problems he had, would be prepared to take on the county job. He has done a great job, as he always does, with the Slaughneil team and I wish them well in the final.
What happened to John Brennan and the nephews? I though they were going to be the saviours of Derry football.
