is there no joined up thinking by the administrators at all? yesterday after the ballyea/st thomas hurling game in thurles which finished around 7pm,4 of the ballyea side, members of the clare football panel had to drive the 5 hour journey to derry for todays nfl game .not ideal preparation for certain..on top of that i see that the kerry /mayo nfl game next saturday week in tralee takes place 3 hours after the throw in of the corofin /dr crokes all ireland semi final in limerick. are the gaa trying to make things as hard as possible for players and supporters or whats going on??

The GAA will never be able to "fix the fixtures" if they try to keep every Tom, Dick and Harry happy. Moving matches around so 100 or so people want to attend two matches on weekend is hardly a good enough reason for changing fixtures around

What should they have done then?
You cant appease everyone every week especially when there is players competing on several different sides at different grades ran by different groups etc.

Why are 5 players travelling to play with Clare while their club are involved in the club all Ireland?

i would asik the same question!
i would also like to know why our c/b/limerick/fixtures committee did not play wexford v limerick as a double header, instead of football yesterday hurlers next weekend.
it is a joke and an insult to the dual supporter.

For once I agree with you, Ormond. Could Clare not have managed without them yesterday? The Clare hurlers are managing without Tony Kelly etc.
