Searchable database club matches

(Oldest Posts First)

I've created searchable list of club matches (senior, so far) that be searched by code, and by club/county/province.

Not sure what to do with it, though. I have just over 3,000 matches and am starting to add the lower-level club matches, which I reckon will add another 1,500 to my total.

What should I do? Website? App?

Fair play to ya Cully, does it include provincial club matches, and how far do your matches go?

Something I was thinking about was a site or app for finding suitable challenge matches for your club teams.

Will any of the databases out there contain information on provincial and All-Ireland club championship matches going back to when it all began back in the 60s?

I had thought about something similar myself, one that ranked clubs at the various levels. At the minute, the feeling in Cavan is that we have too many senior clubs and that as a result, our intermediate and junior clubs are a few places down the pecking order when compared to fellow Ulster teams. (granted it's far from the sole reason for our poor performances in provincial club competition)

Care to combine forces?

I seem to recal that in the past there was a "clubs" link on the HoganStand mainpage. you clicked on a county and then you could click on a clubs link.

any club that had a website was listed. that seems to have disappeared, or perhaps it's still there but I can't find it. there really is a dearth of information online pertaining to past results,team-line ups etc of club matches. All this info would have been in the local papers. It would cost you a fortune to collate all this info. you would need probably someone from every club in the country to be tasked with the job of trawling through the archives of the local press and entering all this info in to a database. perhaps the GAA could offer some money to help with this.
