No Cian O'Sullivan is the only really baffling one for me.

Mayos Durkan is very unlucky not to get one.

I was glad to see Ryan mcHugh get one, he missed out in 2014 and I think that he really deserved it. Cian O'Sullivan's omission is a strange, strange one.

I only got as far as the goalie and I couldn't be bothered looking at the rest of them. It's surely a wind up thread? David Clarke over Comerford? It gets worse every year!

IMO Cluxton should be the goalkeeper. Clarke perhaps a close second. I wonder in making this choice is there an element in there of the All Star selectors wanting to make a point of highlighting the folly of Mayo's management dropping Clarke for the replay?

I'm surprised Mattie Donnelly got in. Don't get me wrong he's a quality player but the fact he missed the majority of the Ulster final and Tyrone lost in the quarters I think he's fortunate. Fenton was obviously nailed on so the other midfield spot was up for grabs. For me Peter Acheson or Gary Brennan were ahead of Donnelly in the pecking order. Feel sorry for Kevin McManamon. Had a great season up until the final. I don't think any forward covered themselves in glory in the drawn game and I thought he done okay in the replay. If the drawn game didn't happen he was a shoe in. Delighted for Ryan McHugh, he had an excellent individual season even if Donegal were off the pace. Overall it's a pretty fair all star team. It would of been great for Clare football if Brennan had got the nod but it wasn't to be.

Well done Michael Quinlivan!

At least we got one All Star.

Wouldn't have surprised me if we got none at all.

No. He was many people's favourite before the replay. Did well when he replaced Henelly. I'm a bit biased though.

Ironic to see D Clark get the No.1 shirt.
Debate to be had elsewhere as per usual no doubt but Quinlivan is a deserved recipient I think.Delighted for J Cooper who should have been in shame up for POTY.

All star football awards
While i am disappointed that Cavans David Givney did not get an award I feel that the selectors did get it about right. Galway and Monaghan will surely feel hard done by

Impossible to keep everybody happy.Fair enough team i guess.Personnally i would have gone for E Comerford,J McCarthy and P Acheson in place of Clarke,McHugh and Donnelly.Fair play to M Quinlivan but i feel Tipp deserved another All Star from reaching an historic All Ire semi final after losing their best footballer (O Riordan) and six or seven others. It was a remarkable achievement.

Just my opinions here;

Clarke dropped for final but gets an all star ?

A team that went the whole season unbeaten only gets 6 players on the team?

Durkan of Mayo doesn't get an All Star now that's a joke, Durkan had a way better season than Keegan Boyle and Mchugh (all great players but Durkan was outstanding this year)

Dublin half back never troubled once all summer doesn't get one player on the team.

It's a bit of a joke every year. You can argue all you want about Cluxton or Clarke but how anyone is complaining that O Sullivan didn't get picked is beyond me? What about Durcan? The standout defender in both finals and was superb all year. They didn't want to give Mayo all 3 in the half back line so they gave one to McHugh who was outstanding but better than Durcan? No chance. Brennan unlucky to lose out as well.

The Kerry lads had to read on as far as fifteen to sweeten their sour grapes.

Clarke played better than cluxton this year imo Stephen wasn't at the sample level as has been the last couple of years but not far off
