Anyone see it on RTE yesterday evening? It focussed on the history of GAA clubs. Very interesting!

Good man Flack. The Blues as they are better known as are based in Drogheda. They are the most successful club in the Wee County with Twenty Senior titles. They are one of the oldest clubs in the county and have won senior titles in three different centuries. Their golden period was in the 1960,s in which they won seven titles. They are the only club to win four in a row in Louth and it would of been seven in a row if they had not lost the 1965 final to their Drogheda rivals the O Raghallighs. They also reached the first ever Leinster Club final in 1970 only to be beaten by Gracefield from Offaly. Colin Kelly the present Louth Manager played with the Blues.

I actually was sure id seen Bantry Blues in an All Ireland club Final v Eire Og Carlow but my memory is letting me down as it was O'Donovan Rossa from Skibereen v Eire Og.

Both teams were red so on that day the Cork team wore the blue of Munster and the Carlow champions wore the green of Leinster.

I was in Culloville in Armagh once as Westmeath were playing a league game in Crossmaglen and we passed through it. Is there a Culloville on the Monaghan side of the border near here aswell or is it all part of the same place?

Flack they last won the Louth Senior Championship in 2013. They beat Tullamore in the first round that year and lost to Summerhill in the quarter-finals of the Leinster club championship.

The pitch in Culloville is right beside the Monaghan border. There is a crossroads in the village and three of the roads lead into the Republic and the other road brings you to Crossmaglen. It is meant to be one of the most southern part's of Northern Ireland.
