At least they will get a game in the Munster final.

The Dubs will stroll through Leinster, probably facing Kildare in the final, who are miles behind Tipp or Cork.

Dublin's draw is handy too, not that it really matters much.

What about Roscommon, isn't that 3 years in a row they've been given the cushy route to a final? Beat Leitrim and they're guaranteed a last 12 spot at worst. The format is beyond a joke by now.

Be good to swap places with Cavan but on the opposite side of draw to Tyrone and Donegal so can't really complain. Armagh will fancy that draw.

Yeah that is a joke alright.

There needs to be change.

GAA's grand plan for reform does nothing to fix that whatsoever.

Some interesting draws in Connaught and Ulster. Watching the Ulster draw in particular, as it generally throws up the most intriguing match-ups, I was struct by the fact that Cavan got a home draw against the preliminary round winners. Why does the preliminary round winner not get home advantage as they were drawn out before, in this case, Cavan? If a ball or cylinder representing the preliminary round winners was put back into the mix to be re-drawn I could understand it. Perhaps some posters know the answer.

To be honest it's getting farcical now..... Kerry to play one match against Limerick or Clare to be guaranteed into the last 12 of the AI series.. If anyone at HQ can't see how unfair this is then more and more people are going to be turned off every year.

Agree totally. And New York should have beaten us last year! Maybe we could swap with Cavan for a few years in Ulster it might harden us up if thats possible.

Here we go again with another Munster bashing thread. Remind me what Province had the most teams in q/f in 2016?

Unfortunately Cork wasn't one of then :'(

No...they will be playing Meath in the final and will face a more stern challenge than they did this year.

Every province normally has harder and easier sides of the draw sligo who would have been seen on the the easier side of the draw have one of the hardest draws this year

To be honest I don't see it as a good draw. Kerry need games to develop. This summer was torture with a month between matches and we entered a semi final with the best team around having coasted all the way. I know other counties would love this problem but it does not really help Kerry prepare properly for the big games.
