Yes, goodbye to a lengend, be a long time before we see another like him. Big loss to the game. Best of luck Colm.

Not sure how this story broke. He said himself yesterday that he will give it one more year if the body feels right come January. cavanman47 (Cavan) - Posts: 5012 - 05/10/2016 08:35:40 1922693 Link 0 |
He'll be around again, as will Star. Superglue (Kerry) - Posts: 1283 - 05/10/2016 09:33:26 1922708 Link 0 |
He will be 34 by the time the next all ireland final comes around, i thought he said after the semi final he was planning to go again. One of the best footballers ive ever seen and enjoyed, up there with Maurice Fitz. TheUsername (Dublin) - Posts: 4445 - 05/10/2016 10:10:22 1922718 Link 0 |
I will be very surprised, and very dissapointed, if we didn't see the Gooch next year.... Richieq (Meath) - Posts: 3734 - 05/10/2016 10:17:01 1922727 Link 0 |
Where's this coming from Jimbo? Nothing about it anywhere? clondalkindub (Dublin) - Posts: 9926 - 05/10/2016 10:35:53 1922734 Link 0 |
If this is true, and I will believe it when I see it, but IF this is true, then farewell to one of the greatest footballers to play our game. I saw enough in this years semi final though to suggest it shouldnt be. The man is just such a class operator. You know the way they say about great soccer players, that they always seem to have more time on the ball than anyone else. Thats Gooch. The guy ball in hand is poetry in motion. Always seems to have more time than anyone else to pick that pass. I think a lot of defenders maybe do stand off, but only as they know if they commit, what he will do. Doubt he'll be going anywhere. Past his best alright but still has something to offer. Dubh_linn (Dublin) - Posts: 2312 - 05/10/2016 10:49:00 1922737 Link 0 |
Colm gave an A1 performance in Kerry 1/4 final on Saturday as good as he ever gave no way will he go just yet he will have a mega influence on the young stars about to be introduced to the Kerry side a reckless tackle one like the young Kevin O Rahillys player received on Saturday deprived us of Colm at his best I saw the 4 quarter finals in Kerry and am convinced that a Cooper orchestrated Kingdom will retrieve its crown from the 'jacks' 37sowhat (Sligo) - Posts: 752 - 05/10/2016 11:30:02 1922755 Link 0 |

Not my fault lad. It was on pundit arena. I mean if you can't trust the good reporters from PA then who can you trust.

Has never been the same since his injury, perhaps now is the right time to go. A legend all the same. Gleebo (Mayo) - Posts: 2208 - 05/10/2016 15:04:04 1922878 Link 0 |
It's from an unreliable source, Pundit Arena Gaa. They are a bottom feeder outfit. They also take clips and stories from other reliable sources and pass them off as if they were theirs. Not saying it isn't true but I wouldnt trust this info.
