Whats the problem with this final? Some of the best matches ever played have been the matches between these 2 teams in the last 10 years. I will have more interest in this final than a Kilkenny Galway final. Kilkenny the team which has dominated for a long time up against the team who are the most likely to beat them. If Tipp can win (and they have a serious chance) it will be a huge story.

Looking forward to this final. I believe Tipp are in with a real shout of winning it, they have the experience to close out the game which Waterford didn't have in the first match. Could be a great day for Tipp with there minors there, but hopefully they will get stuffed :)
I also have a feeling the Footballers will beat Mayo.
What a September in store for the neighbours!!!!

Hey Sham yer minors are a good team. Just had off day in Munster final we weren't dat much better on the day it was horrible game to watch.
Great day for our club with a minor player Cian Flanagan playing for Tipperary and Darragh Carroll playing for Limerick.
Both are our 8 and 9 at club level so this will be a great battle as both are likely to cross paths during the game even though Cian is wing back with the county.

Minor is unpredictable and I believe Limerick have come on from the Munster Final so that should also be a very good game to watch. On the senior game, Kilkenny have undoubted class but it is there work rate and physicality which always strikes me as phenomenal. Do you believe Tipp can match this? I believe if they do and better it they should win as I think they have a better set of scoring forwards

I feel Tipperary can win this one, they were behind Galway for a lot of Sunday's game, they stuck at it and the two goals were decisive. They need to sharpen their point taking though, a few chances to go 4-5 points up v Galway were spurned. Tipperary are physical, and will put it up to Kilkenny, who have used up a few of their lives by this stage.
Hopefully we get a good game, and no antics on the sideline.

Southsham and Longridge agree 100%. Behind for most of the game we hung in there but also could have won by 5 or 6 if we took our chances.
Galway are a savage team over the past two years and that was the fight Tipp needed we were untested all year.

My thinking in this one WildPundit is that Tipp will have to lead from the front. Galway put in a savage performance (haven't heard a gutless comment) and were unlucky to loose the 2 lads to injury. However I believe if Kilkenny were in Galway's position they would not have let that lead slip.

In 2010 we had that start and kept up the pressure goals at key times.
We need something similar if Kilkenny get ahead by 5 points or more we will struggle to pull it back.

Mentally kilkenny have the edge, they have beaten tipp ALOT of times in big games since 2010. Tipp were ordinary sunday, there forwards struggled to win their own ball and although o dwyer got the goal, he wasnt great IMO. KK have a big chance if they tie up callanan, I suspect murphy will pick him up. There wont be much in it but I feel KK will do it for M Fennelly. They are a special bunch, led by a special manager. KK by 3-5 points.

Hard game to call. Tipperary look fresher than Kilkenny. Michael Fennally is an enormous loss. If a team is to win it easy it is more likely to be Tipp but if it is tight Kilkenny will probably do it.

On the weekends performance I'd have Kilkenny as raging hot favourites.

But I think Tipp should improve a bit from the weekend and Fennellys loss is huge despite him being relatively poor by his own high standards this year. but he still has a big influence on the game. Cody has to decide what to do with his midfield and centre back. Fogarty hasn't been overly impressive since moving back so I'd expect Joyce to come back in. Cody will have a plan for Tipp and it's about time that the Tipp management has a plan for Kilkenny. It's not something we have done.....we need to keep them guessing. Tipp need to have a plan for Richie Hogan....easier said than done but if his influence on the game is negated then Tipp win I think.
Whatever happens I don't see there being much in it.

I think the way Tipp bet Galway was the ideal way to do it, didnt play well but stayed in the game getting goals at crucial stages and coming out on the right side of a really tight game.
In the other semi final, I thought at stages during the second half that Kilkenny were going to pull away when they got a few points up like they normally do, but they didnt and left Waterford in the game.

On the final, its going to be 50/50 game again. When Tipp & Kilkenny meet, form goes out the window and the games take on a life of their own.

Not to sure about that. If it goes on form over the last several yrs Kilkenny will win

This Kilkenny team is nothing like the past teams so I have to disagree.
Neither team played to their potential in the semi finals so look 50/50 is a fair call.
They were supposed to win handy in 2010 as well!!

Would like to see Tipp vary things a bit more in the final. They've been quite direct for a lot of the year, especially Galway. Would like to see them play in some smarter deliveries. Feel we can stretch Kilkenny but too much 50-50 ball plays in to their hands... Literally!
