Ticket allocation loaction for quarter finals

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

I know a topic has already been posted about tickets, however its the allocation of ticket location I wish to discuss.

I have heard a lot of talk around Tyrone that all Tyrone tickets are in the Cusack stand upper tier, has any others counties found the same i.e that all tickets for a particular county are for one section of Croke Park?

Haven't heard that but would be interested to hear where people from the specific counties are seated. I myself am in the Upper Cusack but that's where i always am with my season ticket once the Championship comes around. I know all season ticket holders will be in the Cusack anyway.

Also doing the rounds on the rumour mill is that Dublin have been allocated 40K tickets, that can't be right, can it?

No, that can't be right. No reason why we would be and I'd say that's nothing but a rumour.

No doubt, probably drummed up by some anti-Dub who doesn't go to games.

Anyway, still interested to hear where people from counties are seated this weekend

cant see why dublin wouldnt be allocated 40 thousand
if the other counties only looked for 10 thousand each
then that would be about correct.
remember its a saturday not a sunday and in 2013 and 2014 out of the 70 odd thousand attendances
dublin would have had between 40-45 thousand both times.

To be honest I don't think its a case of asking for 10k tickets in most counties, more like what you're told what you can get. I know Tyrone put in an allocation and where told that they had to reduce it.

Can't understand how they were told to reduce it when you consider tickets have returned from participating counties today and have gone on sale on gaa.ie and supervalu and centra.

Where did you here that? I know they sold out in an hour and half in Tyrone on Sunday and a hell of a lot of people are going nuts to get their hands on them. I'd say it's more non participating counties that returned them.

I think that non-participating counties only get tickets for All ireland Finals. Maybe a few tickets allocated to Kerry for the Junior Final were sent back.

nope non participating counties get tickets for lots of games, look at how popular it is for instance bringing underage teams and the like up to croker for quarters and semis and weaker counties rarely have their own team involved

I thought that was just for non-sellout games though ? Fair play though, they should give out more schools tickets for games that'll be half empty. Fill a few seats and give kids the feelgood factor for the GAA that might keep them more interested in it than other sports.
