Tyrone are the only team that can beat Dublin

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

After Tyrones peformence yesterday they seem to be he only team in Ireland that are able to beat Dublin they play amazing blanket defence which are words you will never think anybody will say because it is so boring, but they play very fast and exiciting in defence. And in attacking play it was lovely to watch there speed and movement is brilliant. they have a lot of star players. If its not Tyrone its either Mayo or Galway but Tyrone are far far better team . Kerry are no longer contenders ,

Yes they looked good yesterday but Derry are on a par with the likes of Meath and Kildare. Interesting times ahead for them, it's between themselves, Monaghan and Donegal to see who will battle it out with Mayo in the AI semi-final.

Donegal and Monaghan might have something to say about that. Tyrone were very good yesterday, ye were not so good and Donegal and Monaghan are Division 1 teams. You're Kerry are no longer contenders line is based on nothing.

Tyrone are definite All-Ireland contenders.

As are Dublin, Mayo and Kerry in my opinion. I'm not sure of Donegal to be honest but they certainly have the players to be in the mix come September.

There's a lot of hyperbole going around about a team that has lost two of its starting defenders from last year, drew an All-Ireland semi-final that they should have lost and won an All-Ireland by 3 points.

In my opinion, Dublin are in with a shout but are certainly weaker than last year.

Tyrone fans must be getting uncomfortable with all this hype. They'd surely prefer a quieter build up with some very hard matches to come in Ulster.

I think Tyrone are being completely overhyped. In fact, I cannot believe how much credit they are being given.

We have beaten Tyrone in 2011, 2012 , 2014 and 2015 yet they are being touted as potential champions .

This will probably come back to haunt me but I have zero fear of playing them and I would actually really fancy our chances.

Am I missing something ? Division one and two are many moons apart .

Be careful what you wish for, Meath should have probably beat Tyrone in league and did beat Derry.

Whoa there, Meath drew with Derry and were totally outclassed by Tyrone in Navan in this year's league. We could have beaten them in the championship in Omagh last year but that was a bit of a one off though. Joey Wallace fired a shot a couple of inches wide of the post with a few minutes to go and we ended up losing by a couple of points.
Tyrone are in a different league if you ask me. I really enjoy watching them.

First of all Tyrone are serious contenders for Ulster. But they won't beat the winners of Cavan/ Armagh as handy as they done yesterday. I would strongly fancy them to beat Armagh but Cavan indeed could be a serious test for Tyrone. Now forget about the Div two final-- championship football is different.
It looks like either Monaghan or Donegal will make the Ulster final, now no disprect to Down/ Fermanagh but I think they won't won their forthcoming games. And if they were to I doubt if they will trouble Tyrone
I have a feeling that a lot on here think Donegal are past it or too old. That could be right but again Donegal are a battle hardened outfit , very successful against Tyrone in the last few years and would be well up to beating Tyrone again. Then you have Monaghan who along with Donegal are the two teams who have eliminated Tyrone from the Ulster championship in 2011/12/13/14/15. So the blue and white juggernaut and the gold and green juggernaut in Ulster could still be serious tests for Tyrone before they venture south. I also hope we have not overlooked Cavan as they could mount a serious challenge yet to the top dogs in Ulster
It's a long road to Clones in mid July , a lot to play for and I don't think M Hart will be thinking of Dublin just yet and he knows well Tyrone are surrounded by counties well capable of beating them, especially Donegal Cavan and Monaghan.

What mind games?

Dublin are missing two of their starting six backs for 2016. One of which was last year's POTY. If you can explain how that doesn't make Dublin weaker I'd love to hear it?!

Dublin are unquestionably weaker than last year. Still in with a good chance though.

You need to sit down lad and have a good long think about what is going on in your head!! Galway??

Tyrone i was very impressed with on Sunday and i think they would beat whatever comes out of Connacht, They would not be far off Dublin as well..

Tyrone looked good but Derry were shocking. Long way to go in Ulster yet for them. Would love to see Mayo v Tyrone in semi. Would set the winner up nicely for a shot at Dublin or Kerry in the final. I know the other teams may have a lot to say about this and semi final line up may well differ but it's highly likely that these 4 will be in semis.

Can't see Galway or Roscommon troubling Mayo unfortunately. It would help Mayo's cause greatly if Galway / Ros were able to give us a proper test or even beat us.

Tyrone haven't faced anyone in 2016 so far. Including last Sunday. Derry imploded.

I don't fancy Tyrones chances. Its between Dublin Mayo and Kerry.
