No All Ireland in Dublin this year

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

2-14 conceded

Cleaned out in midfield

Look at Kerry today... Come on that's what you call a team on form

Dubs are missing too many players

Kev Mc / Paul Flynn / MD Mc / Cian O'Sullivan - all out of sorts

Missing - EOG, Mannion, Brennan

It's just not there... Too many problems

If anything happens to Brogan we're finished... No one else doing the necessary scoring in the FF line

Kerry have the options this year

Dublin will not reach the final... Never mind win it.

IMO

It'll be Kerry v Mayo and to be honest... After today's performance

At this stage its Kerry's to lose...

Dublin did concede more then what ye would have liked but fermanagh got two lucky goals. If you take those to goals out of their final score then it was a big winning margin.

Wait til the semi final against mayo or donegal then we will see what shape they are in.

Totally agree Jim. Kerry are streets ahead and peeking at the right time. We're running out of steam unfortunately. I'd settle for a final appearance and a gutsy performance against Kerry. With any luck a lot of their boys will retire after this Sam and our fellas will get a better run next year.

2-15 Jimbo but I catch your drift.

game probably did the dubs no harm..the worst thing that could have happened was putting up a score similar to the one kerry put up v kildare where the hype would reach silly levels

Don't write yourself off yet as in my book Dublin are at least on a par with the rest of us every game is different and both Mayo / Kerry have posted massive scores in their last two matches
Let's see how the high scoring Mayo team gets on next week, can they put up another big score or will the WEB TRAP THEM
then we will see how Kerry fare out against their old foes Tyrone or Monaghan SIX OF US LEFT , THE BEST SIX TEAMS IN IRELAND----3 defensive blanket types, one a half and half( attack or defend blanket style) plus two pure footballing teams in Dublin /Mayo
TAKE YOUR PICK
IT WOULD TAKE A BRAVE MAN TO SAY WHERE SAM IS HEADING----------- ME---I SAY THE BLUESTACKS

Also we're getting fleeced by refs

I think they've bought into this Dublin Super-Man BS...

Look at today's stats... Outrageous decisions

Dublin look like a team with a whole lot of miles on the clock

We don't have enough players doing the business

Can't blame them... Their commitment over the last number of years... It's going to take its toll

For me it's as clear as day unfortunately

We have under performing weary players, and have lost several key options up front

It's already clearly shown against Div 3 teams...

Watch what happens next...

As I said this is Kerry's to lose at this stage

All up for grabs now, wouldn't be putting money on any team at this stage, Kerry if I'm pushed!

To get past both Mayo and Kerry is a big ask but i think Dublin have the panel to repeat the 2013 win.

Hahaha Brend

Just saw that now...

Very nice...

We're in the same boat if you get to a semi

Good luck... Reckon they'll put 10+ on you

after today Kerry must be red hot favourites for Sam. I mean to score 7 goals in a quarter final?. And having to play an aging Tyrone team in the semis also. Is it time for GAA to consider splitting Kerry into 2 counties. They say this after every Dublin win!. Who can stop Kerry? Only a fully commited Dubs.

Never a truer word spoken Jimbo. If Fermanagh hit you for 2-15, what kind of score will Kerry put up?

I disagree jim. All teams left have their weaknesses. As do we but then we knew that already. It's the rest of the country that thinks we are superhuman. Perfect result for Dublin IMO.

We'll let Monaghan have that particular privilege this year Jimbo, our day will come soon enough.

Goals conceded by Dublin were absolute muck, Dublin are fa*ting around a bit clueless IMO, yeah no Sam for Dublin this year.

6 Semi-finals on the trot

5 Lenisters, 2 Sam, 4 NFL Div 1 finals - winning 3 on the trot, a treble year in 2013

Injuries, fatigue and the hype catching up with them

They are only amateurs after all... and no other team has won more

Just don't have the options this year

It says it all about the bookies and the odds that Dublin have to win Sam

Too early to write Dublin off yet but they are conceding too many easy scores. Fermanagh are not a great side but they battled till the end & left with their heads held high albeit on the back of a lenient ref.

Kerry looked very good but Kildare were an embarrassment with no clue and worse no pride or spirit.

There are miles in this competition yet & while Kerry look good at the moment they are not home & hosed yet. Don't forget this Kerry team were held to a draw by Cork & only for a Hail Mary point by a corner back would have lost. Neither do we know the extent of James O'Donoghue's injury & he would be a big loss.

Wouldn't read much into that game r in particular that second half Dublin were very clinical in first half killed off the game without looking too flash... gavin made so many changes in the second half that the team were very disjointed .. Dublin were cruising at 14 points up when that goal was allowed which lifted fermanagh and the crowd ..a lot more in the dubs than they showed today imo

Dublin have no defence, it was proven last year when Donegal walked 3 - 14 against them. Midfield is light as well with only MDMA a reliable option, Cluxton clearly has no confidence in midfield as he first option from the kick out is the short option 9/10 times. On the flip side they have the best forward unit in the country. In 2013 in a straight shoot out with Kerry they were simply unstopable and shows the defence minded teams can beat Dublin while if you try to do a straight shoot out Dublin, they will win every time.
