Dermot Earley

(Oldest Posts First)

What a legend. Thank you for your years of service to the county. He came back from injury and illness to star in 2010 and played the same day as he buried his father. And a gentleman to boot.

Enjoy your retirement. You owe us nothing.

For once on here the word great is appropriate , saw him play and boy he was a chip off the old block , just a kid when watching his father , what a family , what servants of the game .
What I admire is that he transcended local rivalry , just simply admired by all .

My two favourite GAA players retired in the last week, I'm devastated but it was expected.

Enjoy retirement Dermot, I'll never forget his 2009 season - he was absolutely unbelievable.

Thanks Dermot. A great player, role model and gentleman. Hope that he will be involved in some capacity in future years. He joins the list of great players never to win an All-Ireland.
