Louth 0-03 0-03 Dublin HT

Dublin played with a strong breeze in that first half.

Positive start for Louth in the first half shock could be on the cards.

Fair play to Louth wouldn't have expected that they would put it up to the underage dynasty from the capital, interesting extra time ahead

Fair play to Louth. Will get another crack at it now in the losers round robin thing. Nothing to say they won't yet make a Leinster final.

Dublin won the leinster minor league beating Kildare in the final. That would have been a huge shock if Louth pulled off the win. A real wake up call for the Dubs they will probably go on to win the Leinster championship now.

Dublin got a late late point to level it in normal time.

The Dublin goal was a rather lucky one as the lad was going for a point and it caught the Louth goalkeeper out as it dipped in over his head.

Dublin had something like 16 wides to 8 for Louth.

Big performance from Louth, Dublin's greater strength in dept and better conditioning proved to be the difference as they just snucked out the win at the end.

THE_SNAPPER - Dublin mustn't be near as good as they were last year? At least Louth get a second chance now, seems like one they could have won.

Dubs minors have 4 or 5 lads who were u16 last year, very young side only 1 starter from last year the goalie.and Deegan who was sub last year.
Mostly first year minors.

Surely the Dublin team is made up mainly of the u16's crop from the previous year 2011?.

Many if not all would have been heavily involved with that very strong minor squad of last year, would they not ?.

The 4 or 5 u16 lads from last year that are part of this year minor squad must be exceptionally talented for their young age seeing that they have come in ahead of older and more experienced players ?.

i find it amazing that in munster and leinster beaten teams get a second crack at it while in ulster its still a complete knockout. how the hell can the GAA organise an "all-ireland" championship on such a basis. its totally unfair

i would not really say they have jumped ahead of more experienced players. the only survivor from last years starting 15 was the keeper. so that means there was 14 places up for grabs to players who have relatively no experience playing minor for Dublin and it just happens the younger lads were better so got picked as they should do. At the end of the day Dublin won the game so it doesnt really make much difference. Dublin underage teams normally start poorly Carlow should have beaten them in the u21 a few years back and Dublin won the All Ireland that year so we will wait and see what happens

Well it really should be in ulster and not Munster. Well it evens it out considering there's only 5 teams in Connacht compared to 12 in Leinster. Roscommon only have to win 1 game to get to an AI QF. Now that's completely unfair

All the other counties in Leinster can do is dream about having the same the amount of young players at their disposal as Dublin have.

Would the other 11 counties combined be able to produce the same quality of players for a single team as Dublin itself would have available to them ?.

Regarding the issue of the back door system only applying to some provinces my views on it are that it should apply to all or none at all.
The current system is grossly unfair.

only LORCON MOLLOY the goalie(another cluxton on kickouts haha) and mick deegans son who was a sub last year are involved. minors from last year are on u21 and senior panel this year.
There two lads from na fianna who were u16 last year one is aaron byrne. and colm basquel fom bodens who is gonna be a serious player plus another two whos names escape me.
I think 8 of them are in first year as minor, still very light ,next year they will be strong.
