I'm wondering after many high profile discipline issues earlier in the year in the NFL, most notably in the Monaghan v Kildare game, the Cork v Armagh etc, have the CCC gone soft? As there has been no talk/discussion on the recent Limerick v Clare game where there was alot of off the ball incidents. Opinions?

In my opinion the less we hear of them the better, I always feel what happens on the pitch stays on the pitch. If the ref sees and deals with a situation , thats that. No more action, no more investigation. If he doesnt see an incident, we move on.

Main reason for this is that there arent as many gobsh*tes refereeing championship matches as there are league matches. THerefore players get less frustrated with the complete incompetence of the refs.

disagree totally...............in the main i think players have been behaving themselves very well.............referees have been particularly poor in the football championship.

Agreed. Cormac Reilly was awful for both sides in the Connacht Final.

Referees, linesmen and umpires have been very poor. We have incidents concerning poor decisions every week now.

CCC must be closed for the summer??
same every year players getting red cards easily in league games/early championship.
thought Kevin Meaney could of got line for punching Diarmuid Connolly last Saturday?Connolly sent off for something similar against Wexford
a couple incidents in Cork/Kildare,Tyrone/Kerry players got away with and no action taking, surely the CCC needs to start showing consistency?Connolly was lucky himself to play All Ireland last year/John Miskella was the same in 2009

I reckon there's a shift from punishing the rough stuff to punishing cynical fouling. A player shouldn't be sent off for a couple of mistimed challenges of even the odd dig!
