nearly 13,000 at Roscommon v Galway and the same for Cavan v Donegal, so pretty decent attendances.

i thought nearly 13000 in the hyse yesterday was a poor crowd!
If this game was 10 years ago there would have been twice that!
Ticket prices were high, 25 for stand, 20 for terrace.
And i dont like the getting 10 euro back on the day for students, they know a lot of them wont bother!

ros747 I doubt many students would not bother getting a tenner back, especially when it just means you go in a certain gate.

25euro is simply too much for these games, if ticket prices were half what they are charging the crowd would be far bigger. They are completely deluded as to most people's financial situation on this front. They will always point to no price increase in the last few years, etc - blah blah. What they are ignoring is people's disposable income has plummeted in the last few years, and petrol prices have gone through the roof. Also if people can watch the games on TV then they will vote with their cash.

Does anyone think live matches should be reduced and deferred coverage shown instead? Not convinced this is the answer either though.

I paid 10 euro as student in Breffni yesterday. Our team didn`t perform but was great crowd and in all fairness 10 euro for two games was great. In fairness championship here been well promoted and reasonable entry fee.Was nnearly 13k at Breff and all competitions in ulster up this year on ;ast year.Fair dues.

There was a decent crowd from Laois too. 2,000 I'd say. We're the 2nd least populous county in the country but I'd say we will travel in numbers to Croker.

And it was a round earlier in the Ulster championship so that was very good. I'd say there will be a big Donegal crowd for the Derry game in 3 or 4 weeks time.
The Cavan crowd was decent but not great considering Meath and Louth brought 20,000 to the first round qualifier last year and most of us had to travel for 1.30 2 hours.

What was the crowd given for the louth game in navan?

the county boards should really have every club in the county doing a bus

Not necessarily every club but every main town anyway, let people have a pint or 2 after (especially if theres another game on tv) then home. Good day out!

didnt give an attendance for louth v westmeath match but it looked small nobody behind goals and half empty stand maybe they were all the terrace side.
would expect louth to bring decent numbers to croker to play us though
