A few spring to mind just off the top of my head. The Larkins from Kilkenny-(Fan & Philly) , Ollie & Michael Walsh (Kilkenny) , Des Ferguson (Dublin) & his son Terry (Meath) and the last one I can remember is Noel Curran (Meath) & his son Paul (Dublin).I'm sure there are more though. dubupnorth (Dublin) - Posts: 1897 - 01/12/2008 10:26:17 153626 Link 0 |

Maybe some of the more senior Dubs posters could help me on this , did Pat Gilroy's father ever win an all Ireland with the Dubs? I know he played for Dublin but don't know if he had a Celtic cross from his time on the team. dubupnorth (Dublin) - Posts: 1897 - 01/12/2008 12:28:55 153723 Link 0 |
Mick Donnellan, Galway, winner 1926 - his son, John, Galway, winner 1964 (as captain), 1965 (sent off!) and 1966. His son, Michael, Galway, winner 1998 and 2001! JayoCluxton (Dublin) - Posts: 2688 - 01/12/2008 12:38:04 153728 Link 0 |

And don't forget the amazing one - Bernard Brogan senior (winner 76 and 77) and his 3 boys Alan, Bernard and Paul (winners 2009). :-) JayoCluxton (Dublin) - Posts: 2688 - 01/12/2008 17:10:48 154056 Link 0 |
mickey burn (the rattler) tipperary who won in the forties and fifties and his son Paul who won in 1971, they i think were the first father and son both who won all ireland senior medals. sfoggy (Tipperary) - Posts: 145 - 01/12/2008 19:22:47 154177 Link 0 |
The Larkins from Kilkenny, 3 generations, the first two before the Rattler and son. I imagine there are quite a few of these, and a lot more in the near future if you look at Kerry's up and coming youngsters. patrique (Antrim) - Posts: 13709 - 01/12/2008 22:13:26 154287 Link 0 |
Both the Larkins and the Donellans have three generations of All-Irelands. Off the point but a little teaser for ye. Who is the only soccer player in history to come on as a sub for his father in a full soccer international. He is very well known and still playing.
