Dublin v Mayo Matchups

(Oldest Posts First)

I think this is the winning of the game for either team. How do people see the Matchups going? Andy Moran may as well have been markerless last weekend. Ftzy got man of the match against him last year so I expect that to remain unchanged. Keegan not playing at his usual brilliant self lately so can we afford not to start Connolly given the media circus surrounding the two last year?

I think Connolly will start ahead of Scully in the only personnel change for either side.

Mayo will push up on Dublin kickouts.

Man to man, Mayo showed Saturday that. they can rotate well.

For mayo to win, their matchupsshould look something like this;

I think Keegan should pick up Connolly again.
Vaughan on andrews
Harrison on Mannion
Higgins on Rock (as rock does less tracking back as the rest of the Dublin forwards)
Barrett on Con
Boyle on Kilkenny
DOC on Jack

AOS to alternate between sweeper (if needed) and pushing right up on Cian O'Sullivan. A spell on the edge of the square with good ball in would cause havoc.

Mcloughlin to cover sweeper role at times too.

The mobility of SOS is an issue. He should probably pick up McCarthy as McCarthy tends to roam less than fenton. Parsons can match fenton.

Ha ha great stuff lads, snipe snipe, I love it. What about the cool black strip Mayo lads? Are ye gonna wear it in the final? If you do they'll be the two nicest strips on show by far for the big occasion :D

Remember when Sligo had the predominantly white kit?

They beat Kildare in the 2001 qualifiers wearing the black they now wear. And feeling a bit like the all-blacks continued to wear it. With notable wins like in 2002 over Tyrone.

Regarding some of the sniping clips posted on here is it just me or are most refs ignoring the black card now and giving yellows compared to previous years? Some drag backs etc in both Kerry/Mayo games received yellows for example.

Dublins away strip is nicer than their home one. . .if imagine mayo will only chamge if Dublin do and that won't be allowed as navy and black will clash.

They'll both wear their home jerseys.
