Dean Rocks place kicking (bar the drawn AIF last year) has been top drawer (particularly 45s) and in the last 2 years he has contributed much more from play than he used to. He is a bigger guy with more experience of big days. unclegerry (Mayo) - Posts: 1222 - 17/07/2017 11:31:18 2017984 Link 0 |

Who is O Callaghan? Very demoralising for non-Dubs that a player comes in and 11 or 12 points like that. Adding to a team that is already exceptional. What do the rest of us do?? Cbar (Mayo) - Posts: 308 - 17/07/2017 12:32:14 2018051 Link 0 |

They are quite different players, there's more than enough room for the pair of them in a well balanced attack. Whammo86 (Antrim) - Posts: 4207 - 17/07/2017 12:51:03 2018074 Link 1 |
You've obviously not been watching much underage or the hurling club championship ;) Con has been coming for a while now but sure we'll have rivals in the news papers talking about having him cynically targeted soon enough jimbodub (Dublin) - Posts: 20600 - 17/07/2017 12:53:01 2018077 Link 0 |

Where's Tadhg Kennelly when you need him? Llaw_Gyffes (Mayo) - Posts: 1113 - 17/07/2017 13:48:31 2018134 Link 0 |
Good post. He can get unfair criticism as he gets compared to very good forwards. He was excellent last year in general play. Scored a very good goal yesterday with clever movement and awareness. Young COC done well on his frees yesterday but Rock has done it with tougher kicks in tough tense games. Would be a big risk to remove him as there will be critical frees and 45s in the big battles ahead. He'd be my choice to take them.

I think Bernard Brogan has an excellent chance of winning back a staring role again, he substituted fainleog (Limerick) - Posts: 598 - 17/07/2017 16:53:41 2018267 Link 0 |

If O'Callaghan can knock over 45s regularly then Deano will start feeling the pressure. It was a very timely goal he scored yesterday. O'Callaghan was scarily good. Gavvygavgav (Dublin) - Posts: 382 - 17/07/2017 18:04:35 2018317 Link 0 |
Scully Kilkenny Andrews Mannion/Brogan Rock O'Callaghan Neither loses out. Don't be heaping high pressure free taking on Con.. no need. Bit of a shift around when Connolly is back jimbodub (Dublin) - Posts: 20600 - 17/07/2017 23:34:03 2018431 Link 0 |
