Tipperary v Armagh

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

Could be an exciting game Tipp getting some lads back from injury now. Playing Cavan last week and Armagh this week you dont nee to tweak much.
Hope its a good open game Armagh will be out for revenge for losing promotion with the final kick of the league.

Yeah, Armagh definitely won't lack in motivation for this one. We will have a weaker team for this one than the team that won in Armagh. The two teams are evenly matched. I'd be surprised in there is more than 1 or 2 points in it either way.

Fingers crossed. Delighted to avoid Monaghan, ye looked mean against Wexford.

That's exactly how I see it Armagh will be tough to break down so how Tipp get Quinlivan and Sweeney into scoring positions will be key.

It should be an interesting game. It has the potential for a red card or two also, which could decide the game.

The worrying thing as a Tipp football fan is that We will be outnumbered by Armagh supporters at home. Our boys despite all obstacles keep delivering. Lets hope that continues. It will be tight and it probably won't be pretty but here's hoping we pull through

The beauty is that we have the two of them cos if we only had one forward of that Calibre it is easier to shut him down.

Sweeney is grossly underrated, the year he was top scorer in the national league (granted it was div 4) and played really well championship, including being named a GPA player of the month he was overlooked for an All star nomination.

He should get nominated again this year. Nearly beat cork on his own in Cork.

I think you could be right. And i fear for this game Aramgh will be up for this after league defeat and. It may turn into a real battle for the wrong reasons

Armagh team looks pretty strong with Quinilivan not starting Tipp could struggle and damage could be done by the time he sees action. I'm gonna give a prediction based on the teams I see named and its Armagh by about 6 points for me.
Tipp will need goals again like in the league to win.
Cavan scored 0-18 against us and that would win most games of football.

Armagh a yard off their opponents at the back. Giving some awful possession away too. A pale shadow of a once fine team.

Close game Armagh goal should have stood. Have a feeling Armagh will pull out all the stops and eventually win. Tipperary not making enough of their scoring chances some bad shot selections and Quinlivan is a passenger should never have started.

How did Tipp make AI Semi last year - they are nothing short of dyer today - leaderless, gutless, decision making poor - Armagh run them ragged all second half.

Did Jamie Clarke not foul the ball in the lead up to the goal. He showed the ball and took it back in.

Why the booing from the Tipp crowd at the end? Armagh were denied a perfectly good goal and Tipp got away with a few dirty hits.
