Best hurler and footballer you've seen live

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

Two separate questions: Who's the best hurler you've seen live? Who's the best footballer you've seen live? Just give one answer for each. I don't want any ifs, buts or maybes, caveats, pound for pound, if they were in another county lark. Just straight answers. Mine are DJ Carey and Colm Cooper.

Fair play royaldunne Geraghty's was definitely the best punch I saw live when he gave David Henry a puck in 2007! Didn't see him in his younger days in fairness.

Such a choice. Best performance in football was Mattie Forde v Galway, he scored 4-5. In hurling, Joe Canning 2-12 v Cork. He was awesome that night.

Difficult to keep them to just one.

Probably say Tommy Walsh in his pomp was as close to as perfect a hurler as you'll ever see.

In football I think Maurice Fitzgerald is probably the most skilful and stylish football player that I've ever seen in the flesh.

Only ever been to one intercounty hurling match and Eddie Brennan was something else that day.

Football it has to be a toss up between Ciaran McDonald and Kieran Donaghy, best full forward i've ever seen in action.
