Going to be some game I reckon, If both teams play 110 percent it will be great. I'm going for a Cork win here. Cork 2+ oakleafersir (Derry) - Posts: 808 - 03/07/2017 15:26:27 2009710 Link 0 |
Going on form it has to be Cork by a nice bit. Ban (Westmeath) - Posts: 1410 - 03/07/2017 16:21:04 2009769 Link 0 |
Cork's first match of the championship where they'll be favourites. They've been impressive so far, I fancy them to beat Clare. Unless I'm mistaken, I think it would be Cork's first senior silverware since the 2006 Munster championship, a long drought for them. ballydalane (Kilkenny) - Posts: 1246 - 03/07/2017 16:30:31 2009783 Link 0 |
They won Munster in 2014

Its time for Clare to deliver their potential. If Kelly and the forwards play well it will take damn good Cork performance to stop them. Really looking forward to this. ZUL10 (Clare) - Posts: 693 - 03/07/2017 17:17:38 2009834 Link 0 |
This could turn into a shoot out and alas I feel Cork will have too much fire power. Sure we will turn up anyway and see what the story is. LohansRedHelmet (Clare) - Posts: 2431 - 03/07/2017 23:44:18 2010061 Link 0 |
This I would imagine would be a true test of Corks form. LohansRedHelmet (Clare) - Posts: 2431 - 04/07/2017 06:07:21 2010099 Link 0 |
That Shane O'Donnell is some man to win frees. Can't believe Kelly missed the penalty. Cracking hurling match so far. Horgan lucky only a yellow there. icehonesty (Wexford) - Posts: 2550 - 09/07/2017 16:25:22 2013090 Link 0 |
7 posts on the championship which means we are stuck with the antiquated farcical system? perfect10 (Wexford) - Posts: 3929 - 09/07/2017 16:45:25 2013110 Link 0 |

Cork look to have enough at this point to see off Clare. catch22 (USA) - Posts: 2148 - 09/07/2017 16:49:13 2013115 Link 0 |

Clare's tactics are baffling. They are sending no ball into the full-forward line and just keep shooting for points from ridiculous distances. They are also repeatedly letting Cork get away with short puck-outs, which are killing them. Gaillimh_Abu (Galway) - Posts: 996 - 09/07/2017 17:15:12 2013151 Link 0 |
The strange and worrying thing about this was, they carried on doing it, even though it was obvious what was happening.

You can't win a game hitting wides like Clare did. Tony Kelly needs to be told that he's killing his team. He wasn't the only one. Fair play to Cork, they weren't at their best yet kept Clare at arms length throughout. Much better teamwork and passes that were into their teammates hands rather than behind them like Clare. bloodyban (Limerick) - Posts: 1710 - 09/07/2017 18:10:55 2013208 Link 0 |
what scenes in thurles at the end unbelievable result for this cork team some turn around from 12 months ago. also have to say the crowd and atmosphere were unreal. out of the doldrums a munster double from nowhere mrsme (USA) - Posts: 172 - 09/07/2017 18:17:25 2013216 Link 0 |
Clare need to employ a tactical coach they have some of the finest hurlers in the country but look lost on big days. WildPundit (Tipperary) - Posts: 1709 - 09/07/2017 18:24:04 2013225 Link 0 |
There was 46000 at the game but only 7 posts on this forum. I think it means most of the 46000 dont login here.
