RTE v Sky Sports coverage

(Oldest Posts First)

Just curious if there's some deal been made between the two broadcasting station's for this year as Sky Sports seem to continually showing more hurling over football in comparison to RTE? Sky Sports have already had exclusive rights to Clare v Limerick, Wexford v Kilkenny and Kilkenny v Limerick. And now following this morning's draw, Sky sports will be airing Kilkenny v Waterford while RTE will show Mayo v Clare in the football.

Or is it purely coincidence that Sky Sports keep showing the hurling games?

I dunno what way they have divided it up. But I see Sky Sports have both 3B football qualifiers live. So RTE will have the pick of the hurling that weekend.
The 3B qualifiers are likely to be Ulster heavy with probably Monaghan, Armagh, possibly Cavan if they beat Tipp too involved. Also Carlow/Leitrim winner will be the 4th team.
