Farming Footballer XV

(Oldest Posts First)

Just wondering who would make a footballing farmer XV, might do one for teachers and bankers too. Surely Thomas Mannion and Jimmy Feehan in the backs, Darren or Kieran Hughes with John Heslin in midfield. What do you think?

Farming footballers are a dying breed now, sadly.

Mind you, making hay on the morning of a game seems surprisingly sensible compared to some modern-day routines. But that's for another thread....

Paddy o rourke in goals can't think of anyone else on the Meath panel that farms, maybe the real reason we've gone soft the teams of the 80s and 90s had farmers on them.
